The Kunja Villa-Hotel

My spouse and I stayed at this hotel in July 2025, and everything exceeded our expectations. We were so glad we chose this place. Due to our flight schedule, we arrived quite late at night, but the receptionist welcomed us with a warm smile and made us feel immediately at ease. Our villa number was 5. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by a beautiful pool and a lovely, spacious veranda behind it. The veranda had an open layout with an American-style kitchen, fully open on the sides but completely covered on top—like a large garden lounge. Inside the villa, there was a spacious bedroom and an even larger bathroom with a bathtub. We spent almost all of our time in the outdoor area, only going inside to sleep and use the bathroom. The outdoor seating was very comfortable. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. For example, one time I ordered a taxi, and when the driver had trouble finding the place, a hotel staff member spoke to him directly and gave him directions. Whenever we needed anything, they were quick to respond and solve it efficiently. We used the kitchenware every day and left it in the sink, and by the next day, everything would be washed and neatly placed back in the cupboards. Daily cleaning of the pool and garden, as well as housekeeping services, were consistently provided. There was always hot and cold water available from the electric water dispenser. In the bathroom, they left a sealed glass bottle of water every day for brushing teeth and rinsing. The location of our villa was very central. Everything we needed—cafes, restaurants, currency exchange offices, 24-hour markets, and even the beach—was just a short walk away. Despite being in such a central area, the villa was completely isolated from the city's noise and offered a peaceful atmosphere. If we ever travel to Bali again, we would definitely love to stay at this hotel once more. Thank you for everything!

This is our second stay at ‘The Kunja Villas’. We love the one bedroom villas. They’re very spacious, the private pool is gorgeous, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is luxe. The standards of cleanliness are extremely high. The staff are all so polite and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. The location is really close to some top plant-based restaurants and cafes, which we love, and the free buggy service to places further afield was much appreciated. Check in and checkout was straightforward. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time we’re in Seminyak.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had selected the best accommodation for us. There was not a single flaw in our stay at The Kunja Villa. The staff knew we were celebrating our 30th anniversary and our Villa was decorated with romantic petal leaves in the bath and on our bed. It was beautiful. From the incredibly friendly and professional staff to the amazing breakfast options with your own in-house chef, everything was perfect. The outdoor area was incredible, and the private pool was stunning. The Villa has a beautiful layout, facilities were extremely clean and perfect for our stay. The location was awesome, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and walking distance to the beach, coffee, restaurants and shopping. The staff were extremely obliging booking restaurants on our behalf and organising travel to the destination with the in-house buggy. We are already planning our next trip to Bali in 2025 and without a doubt will book The Kunja Villa again. We look forward to returning and seeing the lovely staff again. The Kunja…where to start! 😁 This is at least our third stay at Kunja. On this trip we were trying a different district & hotel, which disappointed immensely, we got two nights at Kunja, so left other accommodation, arrived 9:30am to leave bags until check in time, room was available, we were checked in immediately! From the moment of arrival we felt welcoming warmth & happiness. The villas are well laid out, clean, with everything you could ask for. Each villa is completely private & the pool area is wonderful to relax in. Walking proximity to great coffee & well known restaurants. Kunja & its staff invoke a calmness & relaxation needed on holiday! Thank You. Xx

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's even better than the photos. The villa is just gorgeous - spacious, beautifully appointed, fabulous landscaping, and everything is spotlessly clean. The crystal clear pool is a highlight, unusually big. The resort complex is large and incredibly peaceful - it feels like an oasis. Staff were lovely, very attentive, professional, and the services are attentive to detail. I had such a wonderful stay and am so grateful to the staff.
